From Wade: On June 3, after experiencing several weeks of unusual head pain, I went to the ER where I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma.

Beyond last night’s diagnosis, I don’t know exactly what lies ahead. Assuming the tumor is located in a place where they can even operate, the doctors will operate in the next couple days.  Assuming I survive surgery, my time on this earth could be measured in days, weeks, months, or a few years. They just don’t know yet.

No matter what my remaining length of time on this earth turns out to be, there is no question that my life is changed forever. But whatever happens to me is in God’s hands. But this isn’t about me. What I fervently ask of all of you is to pray from the depths of your heart and soul for the strength and comfort of my wife and my children.

My earthly rock is my beautiful wife, Cheryl. She has saved me in so many different ways, it would be foolish for me to count. I deft you to find a more loving, conscientious, and selfless soul as she. Cheryl has been indispensable in helping me raise two children who love God and love this country.

Our daughter Audrey is a beautiful 14-year-old spitfire who brings happiness to anyone in her vicinity.

Our 16-year old son Braden is a no-nonsense protector who first looks to do what is right and doesn’t look back.

In my upcoming fight, with God as my guide, in everything I do, my wife and children will be first and foremost in my mind, my heart, and my soul.
In the days ahead, please help me in reminding my family that no matter what happens; no matter what adversity they face, that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ will never saddle them with more than they can handle, and that God is Good, Always.
