On September 20, 2019 Lyn went to the doctor due to weeks of stomach and back pains, nausea and vomiting. on September 25th she had an ultrasound of the liver, gall bladder, kidneys and bladder. Results showed lesions on the liver and an MRI was recommended. on October 4th she had an MRI. The doctor called on October 7th to report the MRI revealed a large mass in the pancreas that had spread to the liver. He referred her to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
On October 9th, Lyn met with an oncology surgeon who explained that surgery was not an option. A needle biopsy was ordered as well as a CT scan. Biopsy was performed on October 10th confirming the cancer diagnosis. and CT scan was performed on October 11th.
