From Nick:

On Saturday 10/22, while we were all attending a family wedding in Georgia, Mom suffered an aneurysm and subsequent Subarachnoid Hemorrhage of the brain (SAH). This happened very suddenly and without warning, but thankfully she received medical attention very quickly and was air-lifted to Erlanger, where she is currently in the ICU.

The situation is evolving, but the positives are that Mom is very lucid, talkative, cracking jokes, and she remembers every minute of what happened. These are positive things for sure, but her situation is serious and we're in a "hurry up and wait" period.

Right now, that is what we know. We appreciate all the support/love/prayers/thoughts so far and know that many of you will want to help out over the coming days. Right now, since she is in ICU the visiting hours are somewhat restrictive and we want to keep her resting and not over-stimulated (and Dad too...)

If anyone needs or wants to get in touch with us, please feel free to contact Ellie, David Jr, or me and we will fill you in as best we can. We will try to keep this page updated.
