Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. 


While many of our friends may know, some may not. My mom, Virginia was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on May 24, 2017. We met with a surgeon in Platte S.Dak to discuss her options and determine a treatment plan. Mom decided to have surgery to remove the cancer.  My sisters, Cindy and Shelly live in Arizona. It was suggested that mom be treated at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. 
On June 24th mom,. dad and Shelly flew from Sioux Falls to Phoenix. It was mom's first airplane ride. After it was over, she told me it was kind of fun. Prior to that she was pretty nervous and anxious.  Mom and Dad moved into Shelly's house and will be staying there indefinitely.
Mom is having a consult with an Oncologist and Surgeon at the Mayo Clinic on June 28th.  We'll update the site after her meeting.
