Welcome to Vincent's CaringBridge website!  Vincent is a 6 year old little boy with a history of Polymicrogyria, developmental delay, stroke and seizures.  Almost three years ago, March 2019, Vincent fell ill and didn't recover.  We were in and out of the ER, had an office visit, and returned again to ER.  They identified he had a stroke on the left side.  It was also discovered during that hospital stay he was having uncontrolled seizures.  The stroke caused right sided paralysis.  He spent nine weeks in the hospital and inpatient rehab.  Vincent eventually regained strength and the use of his right side, except dexterity in his right hand, however, that didn't stop Vincent.  Vincent has spent the last three years working towards his baseline - crawling and exploring.  Currently, he was skootching (in a circle), up on all fours, and could tall kneel.   We were certain the stroke was behind us and our only worry was the potential of returning seizures.  Vincent continued to grow and explore.  This past weekend, Vincent fell ill.  This time was very similar to his first stroke, brought him to the ER and they quickly found out he suffered another stroke, this time on the right side of his brain.  They also identified he was having uncontrolled seizures again.  Please follow his story below from there.  We greatly appreciate your support, words of hope and encouragement, and most importantly prayers for a speedy recovery! Thank you for visiting.
