Vienna DeWitt

First post: Feb 24, 2016 Latest post: Sep 1, 2016
On February 22, 2016 Vienna DeWitt was air lifted from Mitchell, SD to Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls because she had suffered, what was later found to be, three different strokes in different parts of her brain. She spent four days in PICU, where they watched her very closely for new events and also made sure that the swelling in her brain didn't cause any other damage. She was then transferred to the regular floor where she spent 7 more days. While in the hospital it was discovered that she currently has several large blood clots in the back of her head. She has many follow up visits to Sioux Falls in the near future, and potentially far into the future, depending on what is found to be the cause - if a cause can be found at all. Any notes of encouragement, comments, and especially prayers are *greatly* appreciated as we navigate this new journey in our lives! Thank you for visiting Vienna's Caring Bridge site.
