Thank you for your overwhelming support and countless prayers! It means the world to Chad and me and our family. Please continue to pray - this is the biggest gift you can give us. I also love to hear stories of cancer survivors, which are both inspiring and encouraging. We are so grateful for the many texts, emails, and voice mails. They lift our spirits and we read and listen to every one of them.
As many of you now know, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer last Thursday, February 23, and since that time, Chad and I have been busy meeting with amazing physicians, talking with cancer survivors, patient advocates, nutritionists, doing our own researching, and a whole lot of prayer. It has been amazing to see how God has been working in the details on our behalf. I have been able to meet with three top oncology teams in the last week, including Emory and M.D. Anderson in Houston. I have undergone a battery of tests and should have my formal diagnosis and a treatment program mapped out by midweek next week. My aim is to blog my progress, updates, prayer requests, and victories claimed through this site.
Thank you again for all of the love you have shown us and the constant prayer that is lifting us up. Our eyes are fixed on Jesus. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
