Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of encouragement.  On January 2, 2018, at about 4 am, Vic got up to clean up after a nosebleed. He crashed to the floor in the bathroom, hitting the back of his head, and causing a hemorrhagic stroke.  His wife Helen called the ambulance.  He has been in the hospital since then.  He is making some progress, can talk, eat, understand who is visiting.  He has had two seizures and will not be driving for at least a year.   It is hard to say how much he will recovery the medical staff are saying that he would most likely need to live in a residential care home after this.  Throughout his life Vic has generously given his time and resources to serve and was involved in Men's Prayer Breakfast, Gleaners, singing, visiting friends and shut ins, and supporting missionaries.   We are simply asking for your prayers especially for Vic and Helen and their daughters Cheryl, Janice and Loris as we try to support our parents in this  adjustment.  We pray for God's purposes and will to be completed.
