Welcome to my CaringBridge website.  I debated whether to have a page or not but it is a good way to keep friends and family up to date on what is going on with me and the dragon poop.  What I call the cancer.  I have Leiomyosarcoma and was diagnosed Dec.19, 2012.  In 2012 after we retired, I had right flank like kidney area pain and went to the doctor.  After a couple of visits they did a CT and found an 8.3 cm mass on my right adrenal gland.  They thought I had this condition that if they did a biopsy it could kill me, so I was referred to a very experienced gastric oncology surgeon to operate Dec. 10 2012.  They removed the right adrenal gland, the gall bladder and a lymph node.  On  May of 2016 it metastasized to both my lungs and I was scheduled for left lung surgery June 17, 2016 and right lung surgery Aug. 19 2016.  Surgeries went well except I have a new met on the left lung.  There will be more treatment somewhere down the road and I will keep you all updated.  So that is my story.  The bigger story is I have a loving family, my husband and our children and wonderful friends who are like family and extended friends who give me loads of support and love.  This sustains me.
