Thanks for visiting this Caring Bridge site. While this may not be as personal as a phone call or direct conversation, it certainly will help us readily communicate with everyone. We've been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and encouragement.   That being said, please use this site if you are interested in finding out what is happening with Vicki and this very fresh diagnosis of breast cancer. We appreciate the emails and phone calls, but have a hard time keeping up with them.

Please look in the "Journal" section of this site for updates.

On Christmas Eve (2016), Vicki was brought to the Emergency Room experiencing extreme chest pains and difficulties breathing.  After enduring numerous tests they found her heart healthy, however a CT scan showed three suspicious areas in her chest region.  She was released on Christmas Day to spend time with family while the results were sent to a specialist for further review. On January 3, 2017 she received the devastating diagnosis of Stage III Metastatic Breast Cancer at age 58.

Throughout the next 5-6 months she will venture through many clinical trials and treatments at MN Oncology. Between the 20 weeks of Chemotherapy, 30 days of radiation and multiple surgeries (double mastectomy & reconstructive) she will fight to maintain high hopes as she has many friends and family near and far by her side supporting her.
