On Thursday, December 10th, 2020 is where this all began.  We are so very thankful that Shae had noticed something wrong with Mom and had the courage to call me, Leasha.  Between the three of us (Shae, Shyla and I) we determined it was needed to go to the Emergency room.  They found that she did have a stroke and she had a clot on her brain that was stopping blood flow to left side of her brain and they decided to fly her to Sioux Falls Sanford Hospital.  She was heavily sedated and placed on  a ventilator for prevention of aspiration and causing infection to her lungs, which she was breathing on her own.    She did under go surgery when she landed.  They were able to remove a big part of the clot but not all of it completely.  A stent  was placed  and it did allow for more blood flow.  She was taken off complete sedation as of 11:15 am on Friday December 11th.  We are currently waiting for her to wake up to see the complete full effects caused by the stroke.  She is completely relying on the ventilator at this time.
