On the first day of this year, 2020, Vickie was very yellow in color, and in great pain. She had been experiencing more pain than ever, and her appetite was dimished...we decided to take her to ER in Joplin at Freeman Hospital. We got to ER at midnight and they ran a cat scan, EKG, lab work, etc...When the results came back the doctors told us the news...a mass on the head of the pancreas and suspicious spots in the liver & lung...they admitted her right then as she was low on potassium...2.5 ...they also said she would be seeing the GI doctor later in the day as she would be needing a ERCP done...the mass on her pancreas was preventing the drainage of bilirubin so that is why she was so yellow.
