Welcome to Vickie's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, and your words of hope and encouragement.
On Oct. 14, Vickie was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. It has metastasized throughout her body. She is at The Center for Advanced Care near Froedert. Chemo started Oct. 19. She is feeling positive and surrounded by love.
To keep our menagerie of family straight, here is a little summary: Vickie is married to Ron and her kids are Carri Anne Manning, and Ryan, Dan, Brad and Emily Jakubowski. Lots of adorable spouses too - Ryan Manning, Yana Jakubowski, Sonia Salberg and soon Cristina Dolor! Gifted grandkids too: Maggie, Dane, Vika and Finn. Vickie is big sis to Linda Wright and Brian, Todd, and Lee Ann Kahlor. She is (she might argue) favorite child of Bob and Jane Kahlor. Lots of love, lots of healing vibes surrounding her.
