I just wanted to let everyone know whats been going on in Vicki’s world the last few weeks. She was visiting good friends in New York when she developed a cough and trouble swallowing. Vicki was admitted and tests done showing a large mass/tumor in her chest. She is now diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer. This affecting her throat and her heart because of where it is at. She has since returned to California and is now admitted into yet another hospital for treatment to start as well as more tests. I will keep all of you posted. Please forward this email to anyone else you think wants to know. You can also send me email address and Ill add them to the larger group one.
It has been difficult for her to speak so talking on the phone doesn’t go that well. This is because of the tumor affecting her esophagus and a nerve in her voice box. Vicki swears up and down that she is not in any pain, except when she coughs hard. She is due to start Chemo and Radiation therapy soon at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Ill let you all know how that goes. Thank you for all the well wishes. She does get them from me and can hear you when she receives calls. Vicki does get visitors and it is much easier to hear her in person. Her sense of humor is still very strong!
Vicki is currently at: Loma Linda University Medical Center Room #9303 11234 Anderson St Loma Linda, CA 92354
