Vern was quite suddenly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on September 29, 2017. He went from feeling fine to being diagnosed within three weeks. We ask for your prayers as he (and Dianne & family/friends) begin the hard journey with this diagnosis. He is not only a husband of 52.5 years to Dianne, but also Dad to Sue (Jack) Dykstra, Sally (Jeff) Mouw and Steve (Julie)Meyaard, and Papa to Kaila (Garret) Raap, Abbie (Chollana/Todd) Sok, Lexie & Trevor Dykstra, Emma Jo (Ryan) Wassink, Ethan, Lily and Yemi Mouw, and Dalton, Jaden, Casey, Chaz, Cortland, Myla, Rosie, Caleb, Desmond, Melat Meyaard and Avah. Vern is also Great Papa to Landon and Bria Raap. Plus he is a brother, brother-in-law, uncle and cousin to many more. As well, He also has many dear friends, golf buddies, work friends and aquaintances.
