On September 1, 2018 VeRita was in a car wreck that injured her back and neck. While focusing mainly on her lower back area she found out that it was her spinal cord that was giving her the trouble. The damage to her spinal area if not repaired would lead to paralysis so VeRita chose surgery to manage her issue.
