We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.Mom was diagnosed with Carcinoid cancer (AKA Neuroendicrine/NET Cancer) in August 2015 after approximately 15 years of various symptoms and misdiagnosis.  

Since August mom has had 3 majors surgeries. The last of which was done at UAB in January 2016 where the surgeon was not able to do anything to help her. There is a blockage in the small intestine made up of cancer, and scar tissue that has tethered around a large portion of the small intestines and described as hard "like concrete and matted together mass." We also found out in February, that the 5 treatments she had since November were not helpful as the cancer had grown 25%. Mom has had difficulty bouncing back after her last surgery. She is such a fighter!
