At noon on January 1, 2018, my friend Vanessa Kinzey and her husband Jeremy Bergolios lost their house and all its contents in a freak house fire. Thankfully, their dogs Margot and Rufus got out safely with them and were fine. That's what is most important. . . they are safe! They have insurance and lots of offers of help. Right now, they are trying to figure out next steps. There are many unknowns. As you can imagine, they are exhausted. But we do know until insurance is figured out, that there are lots of needs. This process could take up to a year to finalize and right now they are living in a hotel.
