Hannah Tyndyuk Hannah's Journey

As most of you already know, Vanessa's water broke on Tuesday, 1/12, at 23 weeks and she was admitted to The Mother Baby Center in Minneapolis for monitoring.  Early Friday morning, 1/15, she began having contractions, and baby Hannah Cruz Tyndyuk made her way into the world at 9:30am, weighing in at 1lb. 4oz.  She is currently in the NICU and responding well to oxygen and fluids.  A huge victory today was that an initial head scan looked good.  Many more to come.  Vanessa reminds us that, “bumps (are) to be expected ahead because the team says this is the ‘honeymoon’ period, so we pace ourselves as marathoners and not sprinters”.  However, she and Sasha are living hour-to-hour at this point with their sweet daughter and any good news is certainly a blessing.  They are grateful to be in the hands of such an amazing care team at Children’s Minneapolis and have connected with a couple client/friends who work at the hospital and have offered care and support.  “We are lifted up by love and prayer from so many.  Calls from family in Ukraine, friends, co-workers, clients and new nurse friends…well wishes from so many are keeping our spirits high”.
