Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Valerie was in a snowmobile accident on Friday Dec 16th.  She and her friend had a head-on collision with another snowmobile.  Both girls were wearing helmets.  I can say that helmet saved Valerie's life.  As well as the quick thinking of the other rider who was able to get help, even though he was also injured.  We are very, very grateful to him.  I also thank God who was watching over all three.

Val does not have any broken bones or even any cuts or scrapes.  She has a brain injury.  It can be described as a deep brain bruising which is worse on the left side of the brain.  A repeat CT scan on Saturday morning, showed there was no more bleeding. They have kept her sedated and on a ventilator, so that her brain doesn't have to do anything but heal.
