On a dime... That's what they say life turns on! It is true! One day, I'm enjoying life, a wonderful husband, the BEST children, son-in-law and daughter-in-law, four precious grandchildren, the love of a priceless mother and mother-in-law, the dearest of friends, a wonderful church & neighborhood community and a busy and fun retirement. The next day I'm diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, stage 4, with a mass on the head of my pancreas and spots on my liver. Where did that come from!? I had my first bout with pancreatitis in December of 2017, I've had endoscopic ultrasounds, I've had lab work, as recently as May 2018, ALL CLEAN! Then, all of a sudden: a dime... I guess we think this happens to other people... But that is not true - why would it be? The other thing that we hear often is that family and friends are the most important people in your life! This I have known all my life! They've rallied around with such love and support - just overwhelmed! I feel their prayers and live daily with their love blanketing around me! My daughter-in-law, Sammy, put this page together and I am hopeful to be able to keep it up and provide you with information as we go down this new branch in the road!
