Saturday, March 25, 2017, Ty was on a training ride for the upcoming AIDS/Lifecycle ride. His riding companions think he hit a pothole in the road. He went over the handlebars and hit the ground head first. He lost consciousness on impact. He is still in a coma. We are waiting and praying his brain is healing and he will be back with us soon.
Ty is now in the long term acute care facility. Visitors are welcome (hours are 8-8), room 407B. Address: 1125 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Kentfield CA 94904. Please continue to send cards to our home in Antioch (2463 Carpinteria Dr 94531). ================================ Although he will not be participating in the ride this year due to his injury, if you would like to make a donation towards his please go to the "ways to help" page and look in "support links." I know, if he was able he would be pushing hard to reach his personal goal. The reason for the ride of ending HIV/AIDS has been very important to my brother. Finding cycling and getting involved with all of the people who ride has been a fantastic experience for him. I knew my brother loved it when he would get up at 5 am to ride. Before cycling my brother wouldn't get up at 5 am for anything.
