The story of how we arrived here: Tyson had a seizure on October 3rd. After being rushed to the hospital we learned he had calcification on his brain. This was due to an AVM, which is a malformed blood vessels in his brain. We coasted along for another 3 months with out any further problems and then on December 3rd, he had another seizure at school. We realized that Tyson need surgery and we scheduled it for January 8th, his grandfather's birthday. Tyson pulled through the surgery initially with flying colors. However, a day after surgery he suffered a stroke at the surgery site. Two days late response he was placed in a medically induced coma to help control the swelling in his brain. These failed to work and a week after surgery he underwent another surgery to have a portion of his skull removed to give more space for his brain to swell.
