After months of hip and leg pain, Tyler was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Tyler's pain started while playing basketball for Green Hope High School and AAU ball for Bull City Select. After summer team camp in which Tyler played in 14 games within 8 days, his leg pain was so severe that the first MRI was ordered in late June. After two biopsies and multiple MRIs & PET scans, Tyler was formally diagnosed with cancer in September. Tyler is now fighting this disease and going through 28+ weeks of chemotherapy and radiation at the Duke Children's Hospital.
