My beautiful Tucker was born on September 26, 2017 staring at the stars and listening to Benny and the Jets. We should've known then it would be a wild ride. A month after he was born, he was diagnosed with Left Ventricular Noncompaction Cardiomyopathy. After a stay at Children's National in DC, we were able to bring Tucker home. He was given several medications and a strict feeding schedule. We visited the pediatrician once a week for weight checks, a cardiologist in Annapolis and in DC once a month. Tucker was doing everything a baby his age should do. Cooing, smiling, rolling to his side, he was the happiest little baby you'd ever meet. On December 15, 2017 Tuck got readmitted to Children's in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). He is currently on a ventilator, receiving multiple IV medications, and receiving care from the best medical team we could ask for. We're heading down the road to a transplant. It's been a rollercoaster of events and we're just praying for a miracle.
