Last month Tamara was brought into the Emergency Room at Methodist with a painful infection on her leg. Her team assessed her and suspected a dangerous infection. She had emergency surgery and was found to be infected with a necrotizing fasciitis, a serious bacterial infection that destroys tissue under the skin. She was then transferred to Regions Hospital. That first weekend was traumatizing and stressful to her body and heart. There were many cardiac complications, but with the support and prayers of family, friends and loved ones, Tamara rebounded and is now on a journey of multiple surgeries and recovery.
