Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Troy lives in Florida with his wife Christine and three young children, but is in Minnesota/Wisconsin on his annual family visit.   On Saturday, June 30th Troy fell and suffered a severe neck injury.  He was taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota where two emergency operations were performed.  The first to excise disk tissue and the second to fuse vertebrae and put a plate in his spine.  Within days, the neurosurgeon informed Troy and Christine that he suffered a C4 spinal cord injury resulting in the complete loss of mobility from his chest down.   While the trauma of the injury has dealt a tremendous blow to Troy and his immediate family, Troy remains in good spirits.  And we all hope and pray that he regains mobility with the assistance of a high quality acute rehab program.

During these next few days, decisions will be made about next steps for Troy and his family that may include transfer to an acute rehabilitation hospital in a different location.  We will keep this site updated.  In the meantime, if you would like to send a note to Troy, please do so here.
