Welcome to our Caring Bridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. For so many of you that have expressed a desire to be updated throughout the process of Troy's treatment we have joined this website to keep you all connected. With this site we will be able to give you information on upcoming appointments, treatments and daily hurdles that Troy faces on his way to recovery. Moreover, we can ask for prayer for him and give some ideas as to how we might be able to help him. As you can well imagine this process is nothing short of a war on so many fronts, but as you all know, Troy is full of perseverance and determination and in watching him battle this foe we will all be enriched. He, again, will touch our lives and show us that a gentle, strong giant sits within us and when we rest in the arms of our Father God in trials and struggles we have already won the war as we fight our daily battles. We encourage you to view this site often but even more so to let this story unravel our hearts so that we can share with him and each other the truth of our lives. We all have our good days and bad, our smiles and tears, but he will demonstrate that with Jesus at our side, these struggles that enter our lives become another chapter to an everlasting story. Let's begin. At this point in time we are aware that Troy has Stage 4 cancer. This week he will attend several consultations wherein he will find out the extent of the disease. Tomorrow is a consultation on a PET scan. There is first hurdle - let's pray for strength as he prepares for that appointment and continues thereafter this week to learn more of what he faces. Troy is with us in Minnesota and has been transferred to the Mayo Clinic for the cancer medical team to try to relieve his pain and prepare him for more treatments if he is physically able to have them.
