Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. 5 years ago Trish and John were on a Sunday ride on the family motorcycle. A young lady in a minivan didn't want to wait for the light to change and cur through a minimall parking lot hitting Trish and John at 35 miles per hour John went down with the bike and sustained a broken pelvis and arm. Trish decided she would be superwoman without a cape and fly over the minivan landing in the road on the other side. Trish ended up with 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a broken left wrist, a ruptured bladder and a shattered pelvis. Recovery went as expected and life resumed normalcy until Trish noticed that there was increased pain and falls Upon reevaluation, new stress fractures in the pelvis would be revelaed with some residual instability. On December 22nd, she placed her fate in the hands of Dr. Cory Collinge and staff and had a bilateral sacroiliac joint fusion, removal of a broken fixator pin, replacement of the pin, bone  grafting and plating to increase stability. Home now resting, her recovery journey is just beginning.
