A little back story:

Trev was born with a congenital heart defect, pulmonary atresia w/IVS. It was discovered right after birth and he was then taken to Children’s Hospital where he had his first heart surgery at two days old. He had another at three months and then at 9 months old he had open heart surgery to remove his pulmonary valve and conduit. He had a right ventricle outflow track patch surgery done. With the surgery he had a few complications and stayed in the hospital a lot longer than we expected! He did well until the summer of his fifth birthday and he needed to have a hole in his heart closed. Over the last couple years his right ventricle has grown to the point where he needs another surgery. Covid got in the way and it kept being put off… With his latest scans it now shows it’s time to get a pulmonary valve! He should have a 5 to 7 day hospital stay with a eight week recovery, mostly for his sternum to heal. He is looking forward to missing school and playing lots of video games :-)
