Travis had been experiencing pain in his right side since well before Christmas 2014. We were relieved at the end of February 2015 to finally get a diagnosis: an enlarged lymph node. It took another few weeks to find out the mass is B cell follicular lymphoma (stage 1). This road has been one of acutely sensing the presence and promises of God. He has shown Himself a faithful Father through daily strength, sustaining grace, purifying hope, comforting peace…we could go on. Travis’s greatest emotion has been a sense of overwhelming mercy that God has given him friends and family like you, a job that he so enjoys, as well as colleagues and students so committed to us and caring.
