As many of you know, Travis had been experiencing pain in his right side since well before Christmas. We were relieved at the end of February to finally get a diagnosis: an enlarged lymph node. It took another few weeks to find out the mass is B cell follicular lymphoma (stage 1). This road has been one of acutely sensing the presence and promises of God. He has shown Himself a faithful Father through daily strength, sustaining grace, purifying hope, comforting peace…we could go on. Travis’s greatest emotion has been a sense of overwhelming mercy that God has given him friends and family like you, a job that he so enjoys, as well as colleagues and students so committed to us and caring.
We will try to keep you updated here as the Lord carries and sustains us through this season.
