Tracy's sisters wanted to start this site to help Tracy and Brian keep their friends and family updated on Tracy's health.
As some of you may know, Tracy was diagnosed many years ago with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Women with this condition have 3 times the likelihood of developing cancer in their uterus. Knowing this risk, Tracy decided to have a planned hysterectomy, which she had done on Friday, Oct 14th. During the surgery, they did find cancer in her uterus, and so they removed both this and her ovaries to be extra cautious. They also found a pea-size cancer spot in her bladder. She will have to have the bladder cancer removed in another surgery in the future when she's healed to prevent cross-contamination. Tracy is at the U of M Fairview East Bank Hospital recovering from the surgery. We will provide more updates as we learn more. Tracy appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers. Once she' s feeling better, I'm sure she will love to read your messages and well wishes.
