On November 8th, Tracie received a call from her doctor that a seemingly routine biopsy had come back cancerous.  The doctor seemed confident that the cancer was confined to the lump in her right breast and day surgery was scheduled.  Tracie had a lumpectomy on November 25th.  During surgery, pathology results indicated that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.  She had 13 lymph nodes removed, 5 tested positive for cancer.  The doctor has ordered a PET scan which should give an indication if the cancer has spread elsewhere.

On December  13th, Tracie will have a double mastectomy.  After a couple weeks of recovery, she will begin chemotherapy in January.  Chemo is currently scheduled for every other week, ending after 10 treatments.  Radiation will follow chemo.

Given Tracie's past history of migraines and digestive issues, she is most concerned about her pain tolerance after surgery and nausea tolerance from the chemo.  She has withstood many trials in the last several years and is optimistic that her cancer treatment will be successful.

Specifically, Tracie asks for prayers for 1) successful surgery 2) wisdom for the doctors in developing a treatment plan 3) nausea tolerance for the chemo 4) physical strength and endurance 5) that her logistical needs will be met ( transportation, meals, financial) 6) Lastly, but most importantly, that her spiritual needs will be met.  Pray that she remains confident in God's power and His plans for her.
