Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

It was a routine mammogram on 13 May 2016 but I could not have foreseen the  news that would mark this year as a challenge. I received news the following week that I was being called back for a diagnostic mammogram, but I wasn't alarmed. This was a common event for me since 2002 when I had a small non-cancerous growth in a duct in my left breast.
During the diagnostic mammogram, they called me for another look using an ultrasound. During the ultrasound, the radiologist asked me to schedule a biopsy as soon as possible. That was new.
On 25 May, I had 3 places biopsied at the Carol Milgard Breast Center. One was benign - left breast. Two were cancerous. And so the journey began....
After 24 weeks of neoadjuvant treatment completed, I am now set for surgery on 22 December 2016.
This is where I will update my condition.
Thanks for following! I shall look forward to your entries as I continue on this journey to wholeness.
