After having a stroke 5/21/19 and having full recovery following a stay at Children's in St. Paul, we continued to notice something wasn't quite "right" with Torin. Fatigue, unexplained fever, most recently joint pain and aching. We saw a pediatric rheumatologist on 10/14, who ran a whole smattering of tests looking at various inflamation markers (among other things) to try and focus in on what might be going on. One of those tests was a leukemia test - in her office while we talked, she brought up that it wasn't because it was something she was checking into, but rather that it's the only test that exists that could give her that specific inflamation information. Catherine received a call from her 10/15 with the left-turn information that the pathologist running that lab had seen leukemia, and we've been off to the races with information since.
