Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

How I got where I am at today;
In January 2017 I went on vacation to the Caribbean. While there, one day I was swimming in the ocean and a fish rubbed up against the back of my neck. The next day my neck was swollen so I went to see the ship doctor. He put me on 2 antibiotics. Sadly I had a reaction to one of the antibiotics (the doctor said I had a rare side effect that happens only in 1% in half a million people). The result is my liver has been affected and has not recovered yet.

My mother, Pearlie, has been taking care of me while I live with her.

Along the way, I was told I may need a liver transplant. The doctors in Minnesota were unable to do it without blood, and after contacting the Hospital Liaison Committee for Jehovah's Witnesses I was able to locate a doctor in Michigan who is able to do these types of surgeries without blood. He's willing to look at my case and I have a consult with him in the near future.

I appreciate all the concern given through texts, calls, and emails but I have not been well enough to respond to everyone. I want you to know that I'm thankful for all the love and concern that my brothers and sisters, friends and family have shown me.

I will try to use this website to keep you all updated on how I'm doing. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Love,
TLove
