Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Historical:

Dad will be 95 on 10-2-16. He had a long career as a Pipefitter and he is proud of belonging to Local 455. He mentored many apprentices. He served as a Sergeant in the Artillery in WWII. He was married to Eleanor Kraft and raised 7 children (Dennis, David, Janet, Nancy, Judy, Mary Kay and Paul). Eleanor died in 1997. Dad has lived independently in a senior housing complex for years. He has continued to be involved with Maternity of Mary Parish, many social groups and activities, his Artillery Group Annual Reunions and bowling & golfing occasionally He loves to go to the doctor (and to funerals) and socialize. He has generally been in good health. But old age catches up to you. He has been mentally sharp until the last 6 months and he has become more frail. He is having short term memory lapses, but his long term memory and recognizing people is intact.

Dad lost his last sibling (Mary Korum) recently. They had a close relationship. Most of his long term friends have died.
