Tony has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Throat Cancer.  It is a curable Cancer but the treatment is aggressive & difficult. 

This all started about 6 months ago with a lump in Tony's throat.  At the beginning of September he visited his Doctor & after several test, the large tumor on his tonsil was declared Stage 4 Throat Cancer.  The cancer has spread to his tongue & one lymph node.  (This is a good sign that it has only spread to one lymph node in his neck .)

Tony's treatment plan starts on Monday, October 2 at the Roger Maris Cancer Center.  He will receive radiation 5 days a week for 7 weeks.  He will also receive chemo therapy one day a week, for 7 weeks.  The chemo therapy will take 6 hours.  The radiation will kill the cancer but also will cause damage to the inside of his mouth.  So after the 7 weeks the recovery time could be up to 2 years.

Tony has an excellent team of Doctors, Nurses & Staff that will follow him closely.  We will post updates every couple of days.
