Tonya Greer

Tonya Greer is the wife of Dr. Sam Greer, Senior Pastor of Red Bank Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer in May 2017.  Tonya Greer posted the following to her Facebook timeline in July 2017: My sweet friends who have been wondering about my mental state since my diagnosis with the "c" word but are too afraid to ask. I'd like to update you. I have experienced every emotion I could ever imagine: shock, fear, despair, dread, panic, anger and peace. And some days I experienced them all in the same day. But today I am so good. Y'all we have a good good God. I'm in the hands of the merciful God almighty and Creator of the world. And whether you realize it or not, you are too. No matter what our circumstances, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. The list of things I'm grateful for, far outweighs anything I could imagine complaining about. The things God has allowed me to experience these last 2 months will change me forever. I could go on for days telling you if His goodness in this experience. So I wouldn't change a thing, even if I could. God's plan is always so much better than our own. If you don't know Jesus like this, please please choose to do so today. He is so good. Pray for Tonya to experience God has Jehovah-Rapha. Pray for her physician and the entire medical team. Pray for Dr. Greer and their two daughters, Braydee and Belle.
