On Monday May 2, 2022 Tommy was driving home from work following a normal day at Montclair Community Center. A westbound driver on Center Street crossed the centerline at 56th Street and hit Tommy's car head on. Thanks to the great work of Omaha Fire Department, Tommy was extricated from his car and transported to UNMC.
The injuries were serious and the trauma team at the UNMC Emergency Room performed at the highest level. The injuries included an open fracture of the left tibia, dislocated left hip, broken left hip socket, compound fracture of the left humerus, two broken ribs and multiple injuries to his internal organs. The emergency team stabilized him and administered 12 units of blood.
The prayers have been amazing and are working. The love family and friends have shown for Tommy has been so appreciated!
