Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Tom will be having surgery to have 3 or his 4 heart valves replaced, its possible they may also try to do a bypass of his LAD that is 100% blocked. They have tried before to bypass the LAD but there was to much scar tissue to successfully complete the bypass. It is anticipated he will spend at least a week in the hospital possible more depending on how things go and how well he recoveries. We then know he will need to go to rehab to do some physical therapy and get stronger again. The surgeon is thinking about a month out from surgery we should start seeing major improvements ( pending no complications to surgery/recovery) Thank you for visiting and check back for updates!
