Dear friends and family, In December 2017 Tommie had a heart attack and developed atrial fibrillation. She was hospitalized in intensive care at Sentara Williamsburg Hospital where she subsequently stayed for a month due to various complications. Tommie was then transferred to Consulate Care in Williamsburg where she stayed for another month before being transported back to Sentara on Saturday January 27 for symptoms resembling a stroke. On Sunday January 28 Tommie expressed her desire to be taken off of all advanced health care and to be placed on comfort care only. She was transported today to Williamsburg Hospice House from Sentara. She is here on end-of-life hospice care attended by family and friends and the excellent support staff of Hospice House. It is difficult to say when she will pass so I wanted to be sure you were aware of her situation. love, Debbie Hill
