Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  I could not find Tom's site from 2010 so need to start a new one.  Tom has been having a difficult time with the disease of alcoholism.  He has had a serious fall in 2010 and periods of sobriety and use since then.  This last week Tom fell at the farm.  He was found by brother Bill and transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth's ER.  From there he was sent to St. Mary's.  He has been there this week with a small hematoma on his temporal lobe of the brain.  This has acted like a stroke and affected his right side and speech.  He also has been having partial seizures.  The family is concerned for his safety and involving Wabasha Social Services.  when I visited before the seizures his speech was garbled but he could say a few words.  He was not frustrated at all!!  We are hoping and praying for recovery!
