Tom Keller

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Memorial Day, May 25th,  Thomas was riding a  dirt bike on the rail beds in New Windsor.  He lost control  and struck a tree with his right shoulder. The impact tore veins , arteries, and nerves apart.  It also fractured his shoulder blade and two vertebrae in the middle of his back. He was air lifted to West Chester Medical Center. Emergency surgery restored blood flow to his arm, but functionality is unpredictable. Nerves repairs will be done at NYU Langone, but not until he is discharged from West Chester.  Tom remained suppressed from Monday, the 25th, to the 29th. His progress has been slow, with complications along the way. His kidneys were in danger of shutting down. MRSA was found in his lungs. Blood flow to his hand was interrupted. Inflections were detected in his body. Fluid was drained from his chest cavity. Spinal stability evaluations waver. Throughout all of this, Tom works to accept whatever God has planned for him and stay positive. He appreciates the many blessings he has already received, and hopes and prays for more to come. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. Your support continues to bring about amazing results.
