Thank you for visiting Tom’s Caring Bridge page. We set it up in hopes of keeping family and friends updated through his journey.

Tom received a call in late October regarding a suspicious spot on his liver. After several scans and biopsies, we learned he has cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) and it has spread to a lymph node in his neck near his trachea. He also has a small tumor at the base of his tongue which is HPV cancer. It is extremely rare for someone to have these two unrelated cancers.

Surgery is not an option and there is no cure for these cancers. Therefore, the treatment plan is chemotherapy with the goal of extending his life while ensuring quality of life.

You know Tom… he has been handling his situation with humor and a positive attitude. Of course, his main concern is his family. Miracles happen every day and we’re confident he will be with us for a long time!

Prayers and words of encouragement (and humor!) are truly appreciated, and hearing from his friends and family will keep Tom’s spirits high!
