First, let me say that Mike and I are blessed with many family and friends. That being said, it is impossible to let everyone know what is going on individually.  We hope you understand.
In April I had my annual 3D Mammogram.  It was negative. 
In July I re injured my right rotater cuff .    I was having continuous pain all around my right shoulder and breast area.  Early September I felt a lump when massaging my shoulder area and thought it was related to my shoulder injury.  I already had a routine physical scheduled with my PCP.   I'm so  thankful  she ignored the negative mammogram results and ordered an ultrasound.  That showed a small mass which  biopsied positive for cancer.  The radiologist that did the biopsy said"I believe things happen for a reason".  Had I not reinsured my shoulder,  I might not have discovered the lump so early.  God is in control!


This week I visited with the surgeon who plans to do a lumpectomy followed by radiation on 10/12.  An MRI is needed to ensure that this is the best option and that will be completed this week.  I also have Medical and Radiation Oncology Consults scheduled this week.  Whew!!  As my dear friend Gina said "Cancer is a full time job!"

Chemo will not be necessary unless the lymph nodes biopsied during surgery are involved.  Pray that they are not!

The pace is fast and furious so I will update as I can.  I would appreciate using this as my  mode of communicating as I can already appreciate how difficult it will be to field all of the calls/texts.  The guest book is a great way for you to leave me a message and I can view them when I'm able.  Mike and I want to thank everyone in advance for the thoughts and  prayers that we know are already on the way.  


Please know that I feel at peace about this because i know that God and all of you are with me every step of the way.
