Welcome back to Todd's CaringBridge site. Todd's cancer has returned and he is scheduled for surgery December 2, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. The cancer is in the abdomen in the same area as before. Because of Covid restrictions, there will be no visitors allowed. We will be updating information as we receive it. We ask for your prayers. Following is the original notice from 2017: Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Todd was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called liposarcoma in his abdomen. Surgery is the only treatment for this. His surgery will be Thursday, January 12th at Emory University Hospital on Clifton Rd. The surgery may be quite lengthy depending on how many organs are involved in the tumor. He will probably lose his right kidney. The intestines, bowel, liver, and the vena cava vein to the heart may be involved. Hopefully, they can peel the tumor off these organs and the organs have not been invaded by the tumor. The approximate length of stay in the hospital is 7+ days. We are relying on our faith, prayers, and caring friends to provide us with strength and solace.
