Welcome to our CaringBridge site. It has been created to keep family and friends updated as my journey continues. We sure appreciate you taking the time to visit. Feel free to check out our journal and gallery as we will be updating as we can.
Everything has happened quickly to this point and I am just now finding the time and energy to update here. I’ll try and share some brief background on my family and I first.
My parents; Tom & Sue are snow birds who live in Florida during the winter months and Wisconsin in the summer. I’m the oldest of five children. Tony, Tammy, Tricia, Trevor, and Traci. My parents quickly recognized that they may have missed the mark for creating the perfect kid on the first try so they kept going and had four more kids lol…
My wife Teresa (aka Ma) and I have two boys; Andrew and Travis. Andrew is married to Brandy and they have six children; Livia, Lola, Lennon, Nash, Roman, and Stella. I affectionately refer to them as my “little-clingers” as they all are very affectionate sharing their love. Travis has recently announced his engagement to his gal; Brittney.
I grew up hearing my father frequently being called TJ by his peers. I admired the man he was and the mutual respect he had with everyone closest to him. In high school my closest friends called me; “Big T” or “T”. At some point, after my father retired and I didn’t hear the “TJ” reference as much, I proclaimed my preference to be called TJ from then on. Initially that wasn’t well received but slowly most of my family has accepted it.
Those closest to me know I call Teresa; Ma. Ma is my term of endearment towards her. Ma is one of the finest mothers and grandmothers I have ever been witness to. Her compassion for the kids, grandkids, and everyone else is truly inspiring. Her ability to spend money on the kids can be a frustrating topic of discussion at times though lol… She is a wonderful wife as well.
My partners at work are some of the finest police officers you could ever meet. I have never seen such a large group of men and women who all serve with such respect, integrity, and compassion for others on a daily basis. I am very proud to be part of such an amazing group of officers. Thanks to my sergeant a go-fund-me account;Team TJ crush cancer (
