Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Tim was diagnosed with very advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck at the beginning of September. A week later, we learned his tumor was "massive," taking up about 1/3 of his head. The tumor has become very aggressive and is currently pushing on both his jugular and his airway. We have spent the last three weeks getting second and third opinions in a search for the most effective treatment.  Due to it's size and stage, all doctors are in agreement that the only course of action at this point is chemo and radiation. We will be using some alternative treatments alongside this regimen (certain supplements, Vitamin C IV infusions, and other options that will be determined as treatment goes on).
