Tim Ramage is a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, partner, spouse, father, and friend.
Tim passed away at his home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from sudden cardiac arrest. His wife, Beth, was at his side as he passed.

Tim grew up in Memphis, TN. His parents, Gail and Fred,  were instrumental in making him the man we all knew and loved. Tim had two siblings, Amy and Chris, and two half-siblings, Kerri and Kip. Tim had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces , and nephews. Although he lived far from his family, they were all very important to him. He was devoted to them, and loved them all very much. Tim married his wife, Beth, in 1996. They have one daughter, Mahalia (“M”), who was the single, most important creature in Tim’s life.

Tim discovered both break dancing and punk rock in the 1980s. He loved to dance, and spent many hours practicing his pop-n-lock moves. He would dance on a street corner, a stage, in the crowd at a show,  or in his own living room. He was a lead singer for a couple of bands in the 80s and early 90s, and while he never went back to being in a band after that time, punk and underground music were integral to his life. Much of his free time was spent at live music shows watching friends or punk rock icons perform.

When he wasn’t dancing or experiencing music, Tim could often be found (or not found, I think that was the point) hiking the mountains and deserts of Washington state. He enjoyed the mountains, but he truly loved his desert hikes. He became a dilettante of Washington geology, and hiking the desert with him was educational. Prepare yourself for a lecture of every type of rock and formation you might encounter. Inhaling the scent of sagebrush was medicine to him, just gotta watch for rattlesnakes.

Tim’s work life was also extremely important to him. Tim began working in the security industry in the late 1990s, and continued there until his death. He was a devoted employee and coworker who greatly valued good customer service. Tim received several awards and recognitions for his work over the years, and belonged to several professional organizations during his career. He maintained personal relationships with many of the people he worked with, and those relationships were deeply important to him over the years.

A memorial for Tim will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you consider a donation in his name to the Washington Trails Association, https://www.wta.org/
or a local charity that is near and dear to you heart.
